Access Control Overview

 Access Control Overview

ID-tag recognition provides an effective and secure way to control staff access to a building, without human intervention. Duplication of keys or security leaks will be something of the past. Each keyring ID-tag has a unique ID code linked to the user, authorising such a person automatic access to a specific building.

The Responder (tag reader) decodes the keyring ID-tag code, held by the user, followed by a transmission to the ESS or company control room. Validity and time of access are verified by the control room on positive acknowledgement. The Responder only responds to messages received from the control room and de-activates the built-in alarm system and activates the striker lock. Invalid use activates a siren at the site or building.

ESS Responder

Responder

The main function of the Responder is to act as an interface between peripheral monitor devices such as alarms, early warning systems and analogue sensors (4-20 mA) such as temperature control, flow control, pressure sensors, etc. as well as various types of radio equipment.

The Responder is intelligent and has unmatched features to ensure the delivery of messages. Up to four addresses per input change can be programmed and each address can be programmed for different retry transmissions. If the message was not delivered the first time it will retry again according to the programmed retry condition. In failing the transmission, the input condition will be transmitted to the second address, and so on.

The ESS Message Router system allows for message routing between different communication networks such as cellular phones and radio networks.

All the routed messages are logged in a SQL database and file export to general spreadsheet programmes are possible.
